Biography

Identical twins Denny and Dan Gutenkauf have performed for major conventions and private parties in the Southwest for three decades. They have also performed for national conventions in Lake Tahoe, Reno, Las Vegas, Vail, San Diego, Los Angeles, Boca Raton, among others. The twin musicians, Denny on guitar synthesizer and vocals, and Dan on bass and vocals, have played back up to such popular artists as Glen Campbell, Leslie Gore, Gloria Loring, Danny Gans, the Drifters, and the Shirelles. They have also opened shows for the Four Tops, Dionne Warwick, Lee Greenwood, Charlie Pride, Roy Clark, Paul Anka, Vic Damone, and the Pointer Sisters. Denny and Dan made a cameo appearance as musicians in the 1995 CBS Movie "Love, Honor, and Obey: The Last Mafia Marriage" starring Eric Roberts & Ben Gazzara.

Denny and Dan are versatile musicians who play a variety of styles, from Jazz, Rock'n' Roll, Country, Blues, Island/Reggae, 1940's Big Band and Standards, and 50's and 60's music. They also write their own music and are members of Arizona Songwriters Association. The twins have played many five star resort hotels including the Pointe Hilton Resorts, Sheraton Hotel, Radisson, The Princess Resort, The Biltmore Resort, The Wigwam, Ritz-Carlton, Camelback Inn, The Phoenician, Westin Kierland, Marriott Desert Ridge, Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino, and Sheraton Wild Horse Pass.

Among the corporate clients the twins have performed for are The Arizona Republic, Honeywell, Motorola, Searle Pharmaceuticals, Metropolitan Life, Arizona Grocers Association, 7-11 Corporation, and Este Lauder.

In 2005 Denny and Dan were inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with their band Rhythm's Children.
